TXDOT Prepared For Slippery Roads

The Texas Department of Transportation is ready for the snow and ice expected Sunday night into Monday.

Deicing was put down on Friday in anticipation of the winter weather. Now trucks are loaded and ready to run if road conditions get slippery.

Adele Lewis with TXDOT tells Newschannel 6 that they are ready to go to 12-hour shifts all across Texoma.

Newschannel 6 also spoke with Wichita Falls Emergency Management Coordinator John Henderson this afternoon. He told us City crews are ready as well with chat already loaded in trucks. Wichita Falls purchased new snow plows for trucks, but Henderson does not anticipate their use in this storm.
