Want A Challenge, Sign Up For T.H.O.R.

WICHITA FALLS - Leadership Wichita Falls Class of 2011 would like to announce a non-profit 5K obstacle run, Texoma's Hellacious Obstacle Run, or T.H.O.R., to be run on March 31 at Camp Filler near Lucy Park in Wichita Falls. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Faith Mission Women's Refuge and area first responders.

Clayton Hein, event chairman for T.H.O.R., said the race will feature plenty of challenging obstacles for participants and should prove to be a fun day full of thrills and camaraderie.

"We're hoping to put on a really fun obstacle run locally to raise money for some very important causes, including the Faith Women's Refuge and support for our area first responders," Hein said. "The $40 entry fee gets you to the starting line, but you'll have to bring your 'A' game to make it to the finish!"

T.H.O.R. organizers are encouraging folks to enter the race in teams and to "up" the fun factor by wearing themed costumes.

"You can certainly go it alone, but by bringing a friend or running as a team, you can earn your bragging rights honestly," Hein said.

Registration for the race is now open. To register for T.H.O.R., visit www.wfthor.com and click on the "register now" link on the homepage.
