MSU Tuition Going Up

Tuition is going up at Midwestern State University.

MSU Board of Regents approved the increase Friday. University administration increased tuition 3.9%. The hike averages out to $144 per student who's taking 15 hours a semester.

MSU Public Information Officer Julie Gaynor says while it's an increase, it's not as bad as students may think. "It'll be more money out of their pockets, but we tried to make that increase minimal. If you look at it, it's $8.60 per semester credit hour"

The increase is the lowest since the state ended its regulation of tuition in 2003.
