Texoma Man Accused Of Assaulting A 14 Year Old

A Texoma man is facing charges, accused of assaulting a teenager. Burkburnett police went to Hardin Elementary School February 15th on an assault call.

Teachers say 17 year old Johnny Wayne Fortner assaulted a 14 year old, February 14 on school property. They say he grabbed the teen by the hair and shoulders and threw her to the ground. Teachers say he also kicked and punched her.

The teachers stopped Fortner and he then left the school. Officers say they saw the victim had a swollen left cheek.

Police say the teen was afraid to press charges against Fortner because he is violent and had been treating her like this for 2 years.

Fortner is charged with injury to a child with bodily harm.
