Electra's Ivy Leaving for Seymour

Keith Ivy's first year in Electra was the best season for the Tigers in years.

But, it turns out his first year was also his last.

Ivy will be the new coach at Seymour High School, replacing Rocky Smart, who left a little over a month ago to be head coach for his hometown of Clyde.

Ivy led the Tigers to a 6-6 record in 2012, as many wins as they had in the previous four years combined. Electra won its first playoff game since 2006.

His Tigers also beat the Panthers this year, 31-28 at home in late September.

Seymour was 27-11 in three years under Coach Smart, including a 10-4 Regional Quarterfinalist season this year.
