Two Texoma People Sentenced On Money Laundering

Two Wichita County people were sentenced Friday, March 2, on a money laundering charge.

A Department of Public Safety trooper pulled over a truck in June 2011 on highway 287 near Iowa Park.

The trooper pulled over the vehicle because of an unfastened seat belt. The trooper said he could smell burnt marijuana and found a small amount of pot and three bundles of cash inside the vehicle.

Lee Davis was sentenced to four years but his sentenced was deferred. Sonya Davis was sentenced to four days in Wichita County jail. Her charged was reduced to a Class A Misdemeanor.
