Wichita Falls City Officials are moving forward with the Lake Wichita Project.
Monday, city officials opened up bidding on the construction of a small floating pier by the dam and a wildlife elevated platform.
City Councilors approved the project a year and a half ago and allotted $42,500 to go toward the two projects.
Newschannel 6 spoke to Jack Murphy with Parks and Recreation about what the project will bring to the city.
"The two that have been completed, received great compliments, so hopefully, the other two will receive other favorable comments," said Murphy.
Contractors are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in the pre-bid conference. It will be held Monday, March 12th, at 2:30 in Room 500 at Memorial Auditorium. Representatives of the owner and the engineers will be present to discuss the project.
