WFHS Girls Shut Out Lady Bulldogs

Four different Wichita Falls Lady Coyotes scored in a 4-0 win over Burkburnett Thursday night at Bulldog Stadium.

Sierra Anderson opened the scoring on a breakaway in the 12th minute of the first half, off an assist from Margaux Clark.

Clark set up Sarah Shaw in the 28th minute to double the lead and make it a 2-0 game at the half.

In the second minute of the second half Clark recorded her third assist of the game, setting up Shannon Spruiell to make it 3-0, and Shaw added an assist with just over five minutes left, feeding Amber Beer for the final margin.

"We played okay," said WFHS Coach Rob Woodard. "The girls started out slow going against the wind but they kept fighting."

The Lady Coyotes improved to 11-5-1 overall and 5-1 in District 9-4A.

They will face Hirschi Saturday at noon at Memorial Stadium.
