Victim Identified In Clay County Homicide Investigation

The identity of the victim in the Clay County homicide investigation is now known.

Clay County Sheriff Kenny Lemons said the victim is Jose Ramirez. Authorities discovered Ramirez's remains in a shallow grave February 8, outside Petrolia.

Ramirez is from El-Centro, California. He was born January 6, 1983. He was a member of the U.S. Army and had been stationed at Fort Sill. Lemons said that is where he met Justin Wayne Green, the man charged with his murder.

There are three other women charged in connection to Ramirez's murder, including Green's mother and sister.
