No. 5 Midwestern St. hits the floor to battle #15 Arkansas Tech in the NCAA South Central Regional Final tonight.
With a win, MSU would return to the Elite 8 for the third-straight season.
"We have to end it the right way, end it with a big win," senior forward David Terrell said.
Tech topped MSU rival Tarleton St. in overtime Sunday to advance, preventing the Mustangs from a playing a familiar foe for the fourth time this season.
MSU head coach Nelson Haggerty stressed not changing too much just because the Mustangs will face an unfamiliar opponent.
"You want your guys playing the basketball that got you here," he said.
MSU plans to counter with two of its strengths all season long: defense and depth.
Terrell and senior guard Keonte' Logan said stopping guard penetration is key to stopping Tech.
Haggerty has stuck with a 10-deep rotation in the postseason, causing nightmares for opposing teams. Each night, its seems like a different Mustang steps up.
"That's what I love about this team," Terrell said. "You don't know who's going step up and help us out big time."
But, Haggerty has said that he's still waiting for the game when everyone is clicking at the same time.
