Police Say Pipe Bomb Found

Wichita Falls Police tell Newschannel 6 a pipe bomb that was found at a garage sale Saturday afternoon. That bomb is now secure but not before causing a scare in a Wichita Falls neighborhood.

Around 2:00 on Saturday afternoon the suspicious item was found. Police were called to the 1600 block of Deer Park Way.

A military canine unit from Sheppard Air Force Base and a bomb squad from Denton were called in to assist with the threat.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, along with the Wichita Falls Police and Fire Departments all continue to investigate this incident.
