WF Railroad Museum Celebrates 20 Years

The Wichita Falls Railroad Museum celebrated its 20th year in depot square. Activities began at 10 a.m. and lasted until 4 p.m. Saturday. Visitors had the opportunity to board an original 1906 Ft. Worth and Denver Steam locomotive. Officials with the museum say the city wouldn't be here if it weren't for the rich history of railroads.

"It's history. That's the tall and the short of it. It's a part of Wichita Falls. Wichita falls wouldn't be here if it weren't for the railroads and the oil," said Bronna McNelly with the museum. This event also kicked off the museum's 2012 season.
