Funds to Help the Wichita Falls Police Department

The Wichita Falls City Council will meet in a special session on Tuesday 8:30 to discuss spending almost $32,000 for two purchases needed to help the Wichita Falls Police Department.

If approved, $31,976.99 will come from the Seized Funds Account.

Part of the money would go to the W.F.P.D to help purchase and train a police service canine. The rest of the funds would go toward a forensic light source to replace a 17-year old unit.

The Seized Funds account will have $76,115 left in the account if councilors approve these purchases.
