DALLAS (AP) - Thousands of Texas homes and businesses have lost electricity as strong storms with heavy rain began moving out of the state.
Forecasters say south and central parts of Texas were under a flash flood watch until midday Tuesday. A flash flood watch covered areas of North Texas through the evening.
Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport reported limited weather-related delays, with about 35 flights canceled Tuesday.
CPS Energy says nearly 16,600 customers in the San Antonio area lost power. Forecasters say a tornado touched down Monday night about 25 miles southwest of San Antonio. No one was hurt and damage was limited to a handful of homes.
