$800,000 Approved For Transfer Station Upgrades

The Wichita Falls City Council unanimously approved a nearly million dollar budget to replace the tipping floor at the Transfer Station.

The motion awarded a bid to replace the floor to the Scales Construction Company. Their projected bid is $548,541.

The council approved a $800,000 budget for the project. 

Public Works Director Russel Schreiber said this project was the same on performed 18 or 19 years ago at the station. He said the project will close down the station for approximately 30 days, starting this April.
