Registered Sex Offender Charged With Sexual Assault

A 20 year old man is in the Wichita County Jail, accused of being involved with a teenager.

Child Protective Services filed a report stating a 15 year old was sexually involved with Jack Briar Hawkins, 20. Hawkins is a registered sex offender.

CPS officials said the teen's mother knew about the relationship. The mother told CPS she thought Hawkins was 18 years old and recently found out he was a registered sex offender.

The teen was interviewed at Patsy's House Children's Advocacy Center on March 9. Police interviewed Hawkins on March 14 and he told police him and the teen met on a social networking site.

Hawkins said he told the teen he was 20 years old and that she told him she was 15 years old. Hawkins admitted to police he did have a sexual relationship with the teen.

Hawkins is charged with sexual assault.
