Texoma Federal Courthouses May Shut Down

A pair of Texoma courthouse facilities may be closed down by the federal government in an effort to save money.

The federal courthouses facilities in Wichita Falls and Lawton are among 60 total facilities across the nation that may be closed down.

The facilities are numbered off  #1 through #60, with #1 being the most likely to be closed down. Wichita Falls is #14, Lawton is #54.

Karen Mitchell, clerk of the U.S. District Court in Dallas, said if the facility in Wichita Falls is closed down, people would have to go to the nearest courthouse, which is Fort Worth.

There are several other courthouse facilities on the list in Oklahoma and Texas. The is as follows:
