Pennington's Non-Renewal Upheld

After roughly four hours of WFISD board meeting Monday night, Wichita Falls High School Head Basketball Coach Carl Pennington's status did not change.

The board announced that his contract will not be renewed, but did not give any reasons for the decision.

Pennington won 137 games in seven seasons as Head Coach of the Coyotes, after spending eight years as an assistant.

He missed three games in 2011-12 after being ejected from a game, but his team rallied to make the playoffs for a second-straight season.
