MSU Track: Montalvo to Compete in Texas Relays

Midwestern State senior Brissia Montalvo continues her quest for national qualification in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase Thursday night in the Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.

The El Paso clocked an 11:05.20 in her first full 3,000-meter Steeplechase last weekend at the UTA/Bobby Lane Invitational.

"The mark met the provisional time, but she needs to get faster," MSU coach Koby Styles said. "The plan wasn't to complete the whole event, but her split times were all under 11 minutes."
