Mobile Meth Lab Manhunt

A manhunt in Wichita Falls ended Thursday afternoon with six people behind bars.

The Wichita County Sheriff's Office said Deputies tried to pull over a two men and two women in a red Pontiac Sunfire around 11:30 a.m. for a traffic violation, but said the driver wouldn't stop.

Sheriff David Duke said the driver tried to get away but nearly hit a tree on Avenue K, between Fillmore and Kemp. That's where all four suspects jumped out of the car and tried to run away.

Deputies were able to arrest the two women on the spot.

As they searched for the other two men, Crockett Elementary and Zundy Junior High had to go on lockdown.

Deputies caught the third suspect around 1 p.m., and the fourth just before 2:30 p.m.

Deputies said there was a mobile meth lab in the vehicle.

In the midst of the investigation, deputies caught another male and female suspect in connection to the mobile meth lab.
