Energy Plan Could Save Wichita Falls Millions

Wichita Falls City Councilors are meeting Tuesday. One thing on the agenda is an agreement to put to use an energy savings plan.

An energy audit was conducted last year, and called for a number of changes from network power management, conserving water, to new energy saving light fixtures. The city expects to save $1.6 million over the next 15 years in energy bills. Part of the project is being paid for in rebates from Oncor.

City councilors meet Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
