New Safety Equipment For Wichita Co. Sheriff's Office

Wichita County Commissioners  will meet in a special session Monday to discuss approving some new equipment for the Wichita County Sheriff's Office.

Commissioners are expected to approve about $3,500 for nine new sets of body armor.
Half of that money will come back to the county, in the form of a grant, that will help purchase bulletproof vests. Another $800 is expected to be approved for a new taser.

Newschannel 6 will be at the 10 o'clock meeting at the Wichita Co. Courthouse to bring you the very latest on the commissioners decision.
