Next Step Toward WF Travel Center

The Wichita Falls City Council is set to take the next step in the city's Travel Center project.

Councilors will vote on a construction management company to over see the $4.2 million Travel Center. That center will be on Scott Street near the Kay Yeager Coliseum.
City councilors are also expected to approve $350,000 for new lighting at the Midwestern State University softball and soccer fields. That project will be financed with 4b sales tax money. MSU officials requested that money based on the economic impact of tournaments that have been held at both facilities.
Councilors meet at 8:30am Tuesday morning in City Council Chambers at Municipal Auditorium at 5th and Broad in Wichita Falls.
