Commissioners Approve $800 Kettle Lid & Early Voting Location

Wichita County Commissioners Court approved buying an expensive kitchen kettle lid for the Wichita County Jail. Commissioners also decided on a new early-voting location in Wichita Falls.

Judge Woody Gossom said the court approved buying the lid in their meeting Monday, April 16. The lid costs more than $800. He said when jail officials bought the 50-gallon pressure cooker, they did not know it did not come with the lid.

Commissioners also approved an agreement with Sikes Senter Mall to be an early polling location for the upcoming elections.
