Sentenced For Intoxication Assault

A Wichita Falls woman convicted of intoxication assault received her punishment on Friday.

Tisha Shantel Malacusky was sentenced to eight years behind bars.

Wichita Falls Sergeant Joe Snyder said the 29-year-old was driving eastbound along Seymour Highway in a Toyota Tundra in April 2012.

He said she crossed the center line and ran into Sheila Lueck, 58.  Lueck was driving a Dodge Stratus.  Both were transported to United Regional and Lueck was in critical condition. 

Lueck did recover from the accident, but had to go through extensive rehabilitation.

In addition to her sentencing, Mclacusky will also be required to pay nearly $50,000 in restitution.
