Wichita Falls Transfer Station Will Soon Close For Repairs

Wichita Falls city Transfer Station will close temporarily May 14.

Residents who use the transfer station are encouraged to use it before May 14. The Transfer Station will close for 30 days.

The closure will allow for the replacement of a portion of the concrete exit drive and the hardened surface topping on the tipping floor.

Residents who use the Transfer Station are being asked to use the City Landfill, located at 10984 Wiley Road during this time.

There is no charge for residents of Wichita Falls to use the landfill. Commercial users of the landfill will be accessed their usual charges.

The City's Covered Load Ordinance also applies to the Landfill.

The fine for failure to cover a load can reach as high as $359.00. In addition to a possible fine, if an uncovered load is brought to the landfill, there will be a charge of $25.00 to dump any material.
