VINITA, Okla. (AP) - The son of a 73-year-old woman who was arrested after marijuana and $277,000 in cash was seized from her home says he got his mother involved in selling drugs, and says they worked together until she cut him out because of his methamphetamine use.
Authorities arrested Darlene Mayes April 10, a day after they interviewed her son, Jerry Van Dorsey. Craig County prosecutors have charged Mayes with possession of a controlled dangerous
substance with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a tax stamp.
According to a story in the Tulsa World, Dorsey told authorities he stole pot from Mayes because she cheated him out of his horse trailer.
