6th Annual Turkey Fest - KAUZ-TV: Newschannel 6 Now | Wichita Falls, TX

6th Annual Turkey Fest

Henrietta celebrated Turkey Fest all day Saturday. Turkey races, square dancing, 15th calvary reenactment and a chili cook-off were part of the festivities. The world championship Turkey Hunt brought in several celebrities including Ken Cobb of "Huntin' the World" and Todd Cast of TNT "Outdoor Explosion." The hunt teams have two-and-a-half days to find the best gobbler in the county while filming their experiences for upcoming hunting shows.

There was also plenty of turkey hunting for amateurs. The festival gave away $500 scholarships to some Clay County students who participated in the barrel race. Henrietta and Clay County Chamber of Commerce are responsible for this 6th annual event.
