Former Midwestern State standout Eric Dawson can add a championship to his basketball resume.
The 27-year-old has played the five years for the Austin Toros of the NBA D-League. The Toros won the their first ever league championship, by winning two of three from the Los Angeles Defenders.
Dawson, the D-League's Impact Player of the Year, scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the decisive game three Saturday.
The 6'9" forward averaged a career-high 17.2 points this season with the Toros. He also spent four games with the San Antonio Spurs, scoring 15 points in 39 minutes of action.
