Sarah Moore Wins State

Burkburnett golfer Sarah Moore shot a final-round low 74 to propel her to the Class 3A Individual State Championship.

The sophomore tops Andrews's Whitlee Woods by two strokes, finishing with a two-round total of 153.

Sarah, the younger sister of MSU golfer Brenna Moore, entered the day in a three-way tie for fourth place. Her final round 74 was three strokes better than Woods.

Holliday finishes 6th in 2A Boys

Holliday's boys team shot back to back 325's on the way to a sixth place finish in the Class 2A Boys State Championship.

Jared Baker and Bobby Stone led the Eagles individually, finishing tied for 14th.

Weimar won the team title, with Crawford's Jake Blenden earning medalist honors.
