Wichita Co. Jail Passes Inspection

Wichita County Jail passed an unannounced state jail inspection.

This is the second year in a row the jail has passed. The two day inspection was done this week, at both the downtown and Jail Annex.

Inspected areas include paperwork, sanitation, food and medical services, infrastructure, supervision, staffing, policies and life safety areas.

Captain Donny Johns, Jail Administrator, said that the Commission noted many improvements over previous inspections and was very pleased with how well the Wichita County Jail is operating.

Sheriff David Duke said it's his goal to provide quality law enforcement services to the citizens of Wichita County.
