Roxy Needs A Forever Home! - KAUZ-TV: Newschannel 6 Now | Wichita Falls, TX

Roxy Needs A Forever Home!

Our pet of the week is Roxy.   She is a 1-year-old German Shepherd.  Roxy is spayed and good with kids.

To make her part of your family or learn more about other available animals, call the Humane Society of Wichita County at (940) 855-4941.

The Humane Society is also teaming up with Wichita Falls Animal Services tomorrow for Kittenpalooza.

There are a surplus of kittens that need forever homes.  The Humane Society is waiving the adoption fee.  There will be, however, a $100 deposit required.  The deposit will be refunded once the kitten is old enough to be spayed or neutered.

Kittenpalooza will be taking place at the Humane Society's cattery at 4360 Old Iowa Park Rd. and at the Wichita Falls Animal Services Center at 1207 Hatton Rd.

Saturday, the Humane Society will also have available dogs for adoption at Smith's Gardentown Farm.

A popular Nocona restaurant is serving up food once again after shutting down from fire damage. Bear's Den Diner caught fire two months ago after a trailer only feet away caught fire and heavy winds spread it to the restaurant. Bear Weller, the owner, said the only reason his kitchen is open is that of his customers.
