Two Arrested After SWAT Standoff

A SWAT stand off in Wichita Falls Sunday morning ended with two women behind bars.

It happened in the 600-block of Filmore just after 4:00am.

Wichita Falls police responded to a burglar alarm call.

Officers say when they got to the scene they found a broken window and spotted 25 year old Meagan Spence and 29 year old Alisha Jean Miller inside.

SWAT was then called in because police believed the people inside were armed.

One of the female suspects surrendered not long after police arrived.

The other did not surrender until tear gas was placed in the home.

Police say Meagan Spence had a state warrant out for her arrest.

Alisha Jean Miller is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia.
