Kell Freeway Closure - KAUZ-TV: Newschannel 6 Now | Wichita Falls, TX

Kell Freeway Closure

The westbound lanes of Kell Freeway will be closed overnight beginning Monday, May 21, 2012 at 10:00 p.m. though Tuesday morning at 5:00 a.m.

The closure will allow construction to continue on the new Fairway Blvd. exit ramp.  The contractor will move the large sign bridge over Kell Freeway, back about 400-feet to correspond with the new exit ramp.

Traffic will be detoured off the freeway at McNiel Ave. and kept on the frontage road though the Fairway intersection. Motorists can re-enter Kell Freeway/US 82/US 277 after Fairway Blvd.

The new exit is expected to be open before the end of May.
