Fort Sill Soldiers Killed In Action

Fort Sill released the following information:

Two Fort Sill soldiers serving in Operation Enduring Freedom were killed Sunday.

Capt. Jesse A. Ozbat, 28, and 2nd Lt. Tobias C. Alexander, 30, died in Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their unit with an improvised explosive device. 

Ozbat of, Prince George, Va., was assigned to Headquarters & Headquarters Battery, 214th Fires Brigade, Fort Sill Okla. Alexander, 30, of Lawton, Okla., was assigned to 1st Battalion, 14th Field Artillery, 214th Fires Brigade, Fort Sill.

The service members were assigned to Security Force Advisory Teams responsible to train and mentor Afghanistan's National Security Forces.

Those teams are critical to creating effective Afghan military and police forces and for the transition of the responsibility for the security of country to Afghanistan's government.

    MPEC managers are searching for a new pro-sports team to fill the seats at Kay Yeager Coliseum. The Wichita Falls Wildcats played and rented out the stadium for more than 30 home games a season.
