Raised in Granbury, Texas, Lauryn is glad to be back in the Lone Star State.
Lauryn graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a major in Meteorology and a minor in Broadcast Journalism. During her time in college, she was involved with the university's student ran broadcast, OU Nightly, working as a weathercaster and reporter. At OU Nightly in April 2011, she helped cover and track the Atoka County tornado before it tore through the small town of Tushka, Oklahoma, killing two people. She also witnessed tornadoes in Norman, Oklahoma in May 2010 and April 2012. Lauryn had several internships at WFAA-TV in Dallas, KWTV-9 in Oklahoma City and the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma.
She is excited to call Wichita Falls her new home. She is looking forward to helping Texomans stay weather ready.
In her spare time, Lauryn enjoys cheering on her Sooners, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
