Graham Downtown Parking & Street Maintenance

Graham City Councilors discussed parking and street maintenance during the City Council meeting.

The Council unanimously blocked a proposal to impose parking limits in downtown. The proposal stems from two downtown business people seeking signs enforcing limits on parking hours.

Councilors rejected the idea in large part to the overwhelmingly negative public opinion of the idea.

Councilors approved a street maintenance plan. Every block of pavement in the city will get inspected.

The roadways would be evaluated and the council will take the best action from there. Funding from the project will be a part of the City's 2013 through 2015 budget.
