Grass fires are breaking out in different parts of Texoma.
Fallen wires ignited a massive fire Wednesday off of Reilly Ranch loop and FM 368, endangering nearby houses.
Dispatchers called about the brush fire around 12:30 p.m.
Newschannel 6 Jack Lamson was at the scene. He said Burk and Wichita County crew members managed to put out the flames that affected about 50 acres. They stopped the fire from hopping a dirt road, which would have endangered a few houses.
Sheppard Air Force Base was also called to send a tanker to assist the unruly flames.
