Relatives Mourn Sisters Killed In Nigerian Crash

MISSOURI CITY, Texas (AP) - Relatives are mourning two Houston-area sisters who died in a plane crash in Nigeria that killed all 153 passengers.

Family members said Josephine Onita and Jennifer Onita of Missouri City were in Lagos to attend a wedding. They gathered Monday night at the home of the sisters' parents, who are pastors of a congregation affiliated with the Nigeria-based Redeemed Christian Church of God.

The older sister, 28-year-old Jennifer Onita, had an electrical engineering degree from Texas Tech and recently worked for a NASA contractor. The younger sibling, 23-year-old Josephine Onita, had attended the University of North Texas and managed a financial planning business started by her father.

Another sister, Christiana Onita-Olojo, tells the Houston Chronicle the women were "angels."

The plane crashed Sunday in Lagos.
