High Chair Recall - KAUZ-TV: Newschannel 6 Now | Wichita Falls, TX

High Chair Recall

Popular high chairs are being recalled. The recall was issued Wednesday morning after reports came out that children were falling from Evenflo's convertible high chairs.

Federal officials said the chair's tray can detach unexpectedly, causing kids to fall out. There have been 18 reports of this happening, but no one was seriously injured.

The recall includes Evenflo high chairs that convert from high chair to toddler-size table and chair.

These chairs were sold between December 2011 and June 2012 in Toys R Us and Walmart stores nationwide. They were also sold online at walmart.com and wayfair.com.

Parents are being told to stop using the chair immediately and contact Evenflo for a replacement tray.

If your child is using this chair, you can call Evenflo at (800) 233-5921. The Company's available hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (eastern time), Monday through Friday.

Consumers can also visit Evenflo's website.
