Lending A Hand To A Texoma Paramedic

Texoma pulled together on Sunday to help a paramedic who was seriously injured in an ambulance accident.

A special fundraiser was held for Archer City paramedic Pat Bryan.

Bryan was injured April 16, when the ambulance his was riding in was hit by another car.

Friends say the 47-year-old was helping to save another life, when he ended up fighting for his own.

Bryan suffered significant injuries to his spine and had to have surgery and now the medical bills are piling up.

"He is a very giving person, he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Always giving of himself to help other people, and now he needs help. So it's time to help." said Event Coordinator Ross Caston.

The fundraiser was held at Outskirts in Wichita Falls, and included a BBQ dinner, auction and Motorcycle Fun Run.
