Woman Assaulted With Rental Car

WICHITA FALLS - A 22-year-old man is charged with aggravated assault with a vehicle and theft over $1,500 in Wichita Falls.

Police said Kenneth King Turner Jr. stole a rental vehicle Tuesday from the 1600 block of Parkdale, then assaulted a woman with the vehicle.

Police reports show a 58-year-old woman called from 2:57 p.m. at Jump for Joy on Seymour Highway. She said a man had followed her in a dark grey 2012 Mazda and hit her car with his.

The woman said she pulled into the Life Tabernacle parking lot and the grey Mazda circled her car, jumping curbs, so she pulled into the Jump for Joy parking lot nearby.

The police report stated the suspect then followed her into the Jump for Joy parking lot, hit her car with the Mazda and tried to enter her car as she honked her horn frantically. When people started coming out of the business, the suspect left eastbound on Seymour Highway. Police stopped him in the 1100 block of Sunset, and arrested him at gunpoint.

There was no relationship between the woman and Turner, however, a relationship is suspected between Turner and the person who rented the Mazda.
