A rollover accident involving a pregnant woman closed down a part of Northbound I-44.
Burk Police said the woman was heading toward Wichita Falls just after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday. When she reached down to pick something up in her car, she accidentally steered her red Sudan into the shoulder on the side of the road near Exit 11. She then over-corrected herself, flipping the car twice.
Wichita County Sheriffs, Wichita Falls Police and Burk Police were all at the scene, along with an ambulance. They blocked I-44 and guided traffic onto Daniels Rd.
Police said the woman and her unborn baby are alright. The woman suffered minor injuries to her arm and shoulder.
