Man Assaulted With Hammer On Fillmore

A Wichita Falls man was rushed to the hospital after being hit repeatedly with a hammer.

Wichita Falls police were called to the 1500 block of Fillmore Friday morning where the caller said two residents were fighting. 

Sgt. Joe Snyder said Oscar Garcia, 41, attacked his 49-year-old uncle, Bobby Garcia, with a hammer. They ended up in the front yard where neighbors had to separate them.

The uncle was sent to the hospital with wounds to his head, arm and chest. Sgt. Snyder said Oscar was arrested for Aggravated Assault/Family Violence.
