Investigation Into Brush Fire Underway

Firefighters from Wichita Falls, Wichita East & West, Jolly, and Iowa Park worked to get a brush fire under control Wednesday night.

Officials with Wichita Falls Fire Department said the fire sparked just after 7:00 p.m. in the 300 block of Petrolia Road. Almost 20 acres burned, but the main concern was a pile of wood guard rail posts. They continued to smolder through the night causing fire crews to stay on the scene overnight.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
