Rural Health Care

Rural health care is making its way to Archer City. Residents have been without for several years, but that's all about to change.

Many Archer City residents are excited to see the doors open for business very soon. The Olney Hamilton Hospital saw the need to bring health care to Archer City.

Michael Huff, CEO of Olney Hamilton Hospital, said "This county is essentially without any health care providers. As a health care provider you want to look and try to place providers in those areas that have the need."

Huff said the Hamilton Hospital and Rural Health Clinic in Olney currently service many Archer County and city residents.

"This is a very logical extension of what we do and we are just delighted to have this opportunity in Archer City."

Huff also said the Archer Family Clinic will have six exam rooms, offer three certified physicians, and one nurse practitioner.

Huff is more than excited to bring Archer City residents a health care provider. "We welcome residents to come check us out and take a look around." Huff added, "We're in it for the long haul and we're in it to be a partner with the residents of Archer City."

Archer Family Clinic will open is doors August 1st. Olney Hospital officials say the clinic will be open only part time to start off. If the need is there, the clinic will open full time.

The Archer Family Clinic's grand opening  is July 25th at the Archer Courthouse Square.
All residents are invited to come out and meet and greet clinic staff, get a tour of the new facility and enjoy hot dogs.
