A Wichita Falls homeowner took control of a burglary attempt, shooting a man out of the house.
Police said they were called out Tuesday night on a house burglary. Officers were told the homeowner had fired a shot at Nieves Molina Jr., 29, who was seen holding a pry bar. Molina Jr. ran out of house, jumped the backyard fence and ran east on Montreal Dr.
Officers tracked him down at a nearby home on Montreal, where they found the glass in a back door broken. A woman came out saying there was a man in one of her bedrooms.
Officers found Molina Jr. hiding in the back bedroom. He was arrested and taken to Wichita County Jail.
While being booked, officers discovered blood on the suspect's left pant leg. He had an entry and exit wound on his left thigh. He was sent to United Regional, treated and taken back to jail.
Molina Jr. was charged with one count of Burglary of a Habitation and one count of Criminal Trespass.
