The next Vernon College Law Enforcement Academy (Basic Peace Officer) will start on September 10 at the Skills Training Center in Wichita Falls.
The purpose of the Vernon College Law Enforcement Academy is to serve the needs of the law enforcement communities within our service area and to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills set forth in the 618 hour Basic Peace Officer Course.
Application packets are available online at www.vernoncollege.edu and the deadline to register is August 22. Applicants must be 21 years of age at time of application and be sponsored by a law enforcement agency. The application process includes a personal interview and criminal history check.
