A Texoma toddler died two years ago after being bitten twice by a snake. Peyton Hood, 23-months, was honored by the River Bend Nature Center with a butterfly room and Saturday there will be a celebration blood drive in her memory.
Peyton was bitten by a rattlesnake at Possum Kingdom Lake and died from her wounds. Last summer, River Bend created an intimate butterfly room to remember her.
If you'd like to donate, it will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donors will receive voucher for two tickets to the OKC Zoo, a free T-shirt, health screening and donor rewards points.
For more information or to schedule your appointment to donate, call Kammy Hood at (940) 613-0554 or (940) 642-1782.
