Pullover Turns Into A Drug And Burglary Bust

Police pulled over a car because of a reckless passenger and ended up arresting three drug and burglary suspects.

An officer spotted a white sedan on Ave. F Friday just before 2 p.m. with a man sitting on the trunk. Police said Justin Travis, 29, jumped off and ran away.

The officer noticed in the car stolen tools in the back seat. A narcotics K-9 was sent to the car and sniffed out drugs. A pill was located on dashboard.

The driver Dennis Reis IV, 22, was charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and Burglary of a Habitation and Possession of a Controlled Substance. The passenger Brandon Eustice, 26, was charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and Burglary of a Habitation. Eustice also had an outstanding warrant for Possession of Marijuana.

Travis ran all the way back to the scene of the crime. He was found at a house on the 1600 block of Taylor where the tools were stolen. He was charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and Burglary of a Habitation.
